About me
Hi everyone! I'm Maranda Chung, Science Team Lead at MMSA. My work centers on the SciEPlay project, supporting play-based science and engineering in early childhood, and K-12 science consulting services (PD, coaching, and technical assistance). Before joining MMSA, I spent over a decade teaching and managing outdoor science programs in Maine and California: leading redwood hikes, developing school garden curricula, and managing summer farm camps. The throughline has been fostering curiosity, community, and connection with the natural world through rigorous, hands-on science. Come chat with me about play-based pedagogy, phenomena-driven instruction, or experiential learning! Outside of work, you can find me cooking, dancing (contra and Zumba!), and exploring the Maine coast with my family.
